In this session, gain an overview of cannabis and hemp legalization throughout the United States to locate current and prospective commercialization opportunities; learn about the unique business, legal, and regulatory challenges inherent in the cannabis and hemp businesses and “pro tips” to survive such challenges; advance your medical and scientific understanding of how cannabis and hemp interact with bodily functions; and understand how women and people of color, in particular, have prioritized opportunities to cash in on the “green rush.” You will leave this session empowered and inspired to expand your product offerings, negotiate favorable supply or manufacturing terms, and how to “weed out the snake oil,” to ensure that you are sourcing and/or manufacturing high quality and efficacious products.
